On the 25th, the 84th, 85th, 90th & 96th, escorted by the 87. Dive Bomber Squadron pushed into the border with Hungary, moving into Oradea, Satu Mare & Arad. These towns where took, after heavy resistance from the Romanian 65th & 1st Infantry & Cavalry. The soldiers on horseback where soon pursued by the Panzer III's from the 84th, in which they soon took down, the horses eventually escaping their owners; who where the main target.
Infantry soldiers on the other hand had a harder job, as in the town of Satu Mare, Romanian Artillery Points had been posted in the region, being fired off at a constant basis, which made direct entrance into the town plain suicide. Knowing this they pushed southwards into Salaj and soon took that, the resistance in the region being keyed in Satu Mare, where they would assault next.
A good 20 soldiers where killed in the artillery strikes, a good majority managing to escape.
With Salaj took, the 87th participated in a concentrated bombing on the Romanian artillery points, soon taking that, with one of the planes getting shot, but with Hungary next door, it managed to fly to the nearest airbase where it would be worked on for the duration of the battle.
The 90th move southwards into Timisoara & then into the town of Lugoj & eventually into Bocsa in which after a sweep over spread out infantry regiments they managed to reach Bucharest, in which heavy fighting kicked off with organized Romanian armored divisions.
While some of the Germans got shot downed by the secondary machine guns of the Romanian tanks, practically all where incapacitated by the 90th's King Tigers, allowing Bucharest to be brought into German control.
Soon after, the costal cities of Tulcea & Constanta where soon took, with Brăila falling immediately after.
All forces proceeded to move Northwards, in which they took the border cities, the ones bordering Ukraine & Moldova.
After the night of heavy fighting, German troops moved southwards, towards Bucharest again, in which they reattached communication lines, and started a mass recruitment drive via this communication line.
Like the other nations, people rounded up at the offices, to fight against the so-called oppression reaching their nation.
A good 538,536 joined at the end of this, and where transferred into the factions of the army, some being sent into auxiliary positions.
The weaponry was took under German hands, and the country's oil reserve remained intact after this.
